Oregon Main Street Annual Conference “It’s All Happening Downtown!”

About the Conference: This year we are starting a new tradition! We are moving our Oregon Main Street Conference from a traditional conference setting to showcasing downtown as a classroom. This exciting training opportunity brings together outstanding specialists in the field of downtown revitalization. Participants will learn about the Main Street Approach® to downtown revitalization with sessions for both beginners and those with experience. The sessions will cover a variety of topics within the areas of organization, promotion, design, and economic development. The format includes walking tours, lectures, and networking time. Please join us for this very special, one-of-a-kind conference!

Who Should Attend: Staff and volunteers of organizations focusing on downtown economic development, downtown business and property owners, government leaders, and others with an interest in the future of downtown will benefit from attending this conference.

Our Host Community:  The town of Albany developed on the Willamette River, with steamboats bringing commerce to a thriving waterfront.  Today, downtown Albany is designated a National Register Historic District and includes many historic buildings in a variety of architectural styles, dating to the mid to late 1800s.  The city prides itself on historic preservation and their commitment to responsible development in downtown.  The downtown remains the civic, commercial, and social center of Albany.  We invite you to experience the dining, shopping and entertainment downtown has to offer.
